Football, claims Keir Radnedge, was “invented in England, perfected in Brazil”. In his latest book Brazil Futebol: Football To The Rhythm Of The Samba Beat, the British author and sports journalist argues that Brazil’s relationship with football is unrivalled, “other nations may be admired and respected for their football but the Beautiful Game is identified only with Brazil”.
