Off the beaten track
The province may not yet be on the tourist map for first-time travellers to Thailand, nor does it have a romantic town where you can see the Sun rise above the Mekong River, but Sakon Nakhon is a noted destinations for Thais wanting to visit temples of late revered monks such as Luang Pu Man Bhuridatto or Luang Pu Fan Ajaro.
