Getting into the spirit
The driver throttles back his beaten-up truck. After a rocky ride on an uneven dirt road we arrive at Taung Byone village, 20km north of Mandalay. The thrill of exploring Myanmar is to take the road less travelled to places where tranquillity and charms are still untouched by industrialisation. We step from our truck and dust flies into our mouths.
