After joining Audemars Piguet in 1975, Jaqueline Dimier was assigned the task of reinterpreting the Royal Oak as a woman’s wristwatch, which debuted a year later. Rather than play down its masculine looks, she maintained the strong character while adapting its handsome proportions to obtain a lighter, sleeker look.
