Located in Loei, on the bank of the Mekong River, is the fast-growing border town of Chiang Khan. It faces out onto the Laos town of Xanamkhan and is close to Chai Khong Road, which, running parallel to the river, is ideal for cycling or strolling along to admire the river views, especially during sunset.
