Crowning glory
Thailand has around 40,000 Buddhist temples and countless Buddha statues. One of the most beautiful styles of Buddha statue is that of the crowned Buddha. Although this art-form flourished during the Ayutthaya Period (1351-1767), it is in fact much older. Examples of this can be found throughout Bangkok.
