To adapt a play that was a flop usually entails the risk it may end up the same. Fortunately, the New Theatre Society’s latest adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ Vieux Carré managed to earn playgoers’ interest through word of mouth, which led to a full house and two additional shows in its final week.
