From mother to son, uncle to niece, grandmother to granddaughter, knowledge of traditional medicine has for centuries transcended generations of Thais. The Ministry of Public Health recently has grown increasingly keen on promoting the ancient practice, having spent hundreds of millions of baht each year on medicinal imports from the West.
