A sleepy suburb gets a makeover
From a sleepy suburb of northwestern Bangkok, Bang Yai has suddenly become a commercial hotspot. That’s due to the expansion of the MRT Purple line, as well as the recent opening of the 500,000 square metre Central Plaza Westgate, aptly named since it sits on the corner of Bangkok’s gateway to the west, to provinces such as Nakhon Pathom, Suphan Buri and Kanchanaburi.
