A misty, ephemeral beauty
The sky was still dark while roosters were crowing. From time to time, cars passed by our small hotel located on a bank of the Mekong River in Sangkhom district of Nong Khai, 694km northeast of Bangkok. It was almost five o’clock and we were ready to experience the “sea of fog” in this laid-back town.
