Prison to become museum
The Ministry of Culture will renovate the old prison of Nakhon Pathom and turn it into a national museum. According to Culture Minister Vira Rojpojchanarat, the present Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum, located in the premises of Phra Pathom Chedi temple, was too small when compared to the number of ancient artefacts found in the province.
